Our Story

Where passion for running meets science-backed nutrition

Founder of Run Eat Odyssey

How It All Started

Look, I'll be real with you - this place wasn't born from some grand business plan. It started after my third failed marathon attempt back in 2018. Yeah, I was that runner who'd train like crazy but completely ignored what I was putting in my body.

After hitting the wall at km 32 for the third time, I finally got it. You can't outrun a terrible diet, and you can't fuel properly without understanding your body's actual needs. That's when everything changed for me.

Spent the next two years diving deep into sports nutrition, got certified, worked with some amazing coaches, and actually finished that marathon. Not just finished - crushed my old PR by 40 minutes. That's when folks started asking what I'd changed.

So in 2021, I opened Run Eat Odyssey right here in Vancouver. The idea was simple - create a space where runners get both sides of the equation: smart training AND proper fueling. No BS, no magic pills, just good science mixed with real-world experience.

Today, we've got a crew of runners who actually enjoy their training because they're not constantly bonking or injured. That's what keeps me going every single day.

What We Stand For

Real Results

We're not here to sell dreams. We track, adjust, and celebrate actual progress - whether that's a PR or just feeling stronger.

Community First

Running's better with others. We've built a crew that actually supports each other, not just competition.

Science-Backed

Every program's built on actual sports science, not social media trends or whatever's hot this month.

Individual Focus

Your body, your goals, your pace. We don't do cookie-cutter plans because that's just lazy coaching.

Why Vancouver Runners Choose Us

We get it - there's tons of gyms and running clubs out there. But here's what makes us different, and I'm not just saying this to sound good.

  • Integrated approach: Your training plan and meal plan talk to each other. Sounds basic, but most places keep 'em separate.
  • Experienced runners coaching you: Everyone on our team's actually run the distances they're coaching. We know what that 30k wall feels like.
  • Flexible scheduling: We've got early morning, lunch, and evening sessions because we know life happens.
  • Local route expertise: We train on the actual Vancouver routes you'll race on. Seawall, Stanley Park, the whole deal.
  • No judgment zone: Whether you're chasing Boston or just want to finish a 5K without walking, you're welcome here.
